Final Day Coat Thursday, Dec 4 2008

30 November 2008
The final day of TRF, the last huzzah. And what a day it was. Although the sales were down year-over-year, the attendance and moral were way up. Especially the last few weeks. And the weather was just simply too good to be true for the vast majority of the event. That included the final day. On this final day of TRF, Marita Beth and I strolled out of the shop for a short while visiting with people that we wouldn’t see again for many months and I, skillfully, maneuvered her toward a shop where I intended to buy her a coat if they had any left in her size. They did. It fit. She pranced and danced in it the rest of the day.

That’s my mug on the armwing with the logo of my shop East Wind Games on it.

Wife, Cat, Computer, TV & a Sweater Tuesday, Nov 4 2008

30 October 2008
My wife, friends & colleagues threw me a birthday party this evening. We gathered at Rob’s Billiards to drink, socialise, play pool & eat. Food was provided by friends from work, beer was flowing freely (as was the bourbon later on) and the pool game steadily deteriorated as the evening wore on. 🙂
Through all of that, I neglected to take a photo. Even still, I managed a snapshot of "life at home" that I like.
Wife, Cat, Sweater, Laptop & TV
This is my wife sitting next to my wife’s cat who is laying on the sleeve of my earlier discarded sweater. My wife is pointing to our website on her laptop while watching something on the telly. Maybe not completely indicative of the day in general, but certainly a peek into "a day in the life of".

Clearing the Way Thursday, Sep 18 2008

14 September 2008
Sunday. A day of rest. Yeah, not really. This is Marita Beth’s first Sunday home since June and we made a much-needed trip out to the Scarborough Renaissance Festival. We’re hoping that this off-season will be the time when we are able to expand the back of my shop into viable storage & living quarters. But, to do that we needed to take measurements of the existing structure and of the available land. But, to do that, we had to clear away the "jungle" that grows in our absence. Here’s my wife taking her determination & shears to the massive weed population:
