Thumbdrive Thursday, Dec 4 2008

4 December 2008
I do my fair share of travelling and when I do travel, I travel with my laptop. In conjunction with that travelling comes work – both self-induced and thrust upon me. With that work comes the necessity for a sandbox in which I can develop willy-nilly. Thus today’s photo:
Thumbdrive
This is my Kensington 2GB thumbdrive that I have had for nearly 5 years. It lives on my carabiner keychain and goes with me everywhere my keys go (darn near everywhere). It has numerous important developing tools that I use on a nearly-daily basis and allows me, even when I have no internet connection to develop fully functional web applications and sites.
Cheers

Ahhh, Faux Fur Thursday, Dec 4 2008

3 December 2008
A close up of some of the faux fur from my wife’s new coat.
Faux Fur
Today was a shitty day. Aside from being a difficult day at work, I found out that one of my good friends got laid off today. He’s been with the company for 6 years, but they just couldn’t see keeping his position as a separate entity and rolled it into a business unit. Therefore, he has to go get a new job at a time when job-getting isn’t easy. I wish him the very best of luck.

The Hair Stick Collection Thursday, Dec 4 2008

2 December 2008
My wife has beautiful, brown hair. Long, luxurious, silky, lovely hair.
But at times, as with anything, the hair is a burden and she needs it out of her way. To accomplish this, she uses hair sticks. Over the years, she has gathered a pretty impressive collection of these little works of art.
Here’re are a few of them:

Final Day Coat Thursday, Dec 4 2008

30 November 2008
The final day of TRF, the last huzzah. And what a day it was. Although the sales were down year-over-year, the attendance and moral were way up. Especially the last few weeks. And the weather was just simply too good to be true for the vast majority of the event. That included the final day. On this final day of TRF, Marita Beth and I strolled out of the shop for a short while visiting with people that we wouldn’t see again for many months and I, skillfully, maneuvered her toward a shop where I intended to buy her a coat if they had any left in her size. They did. It fit. She pranced and danced in it the rest of the day.
This is my wife wearing her new coat

That’s my mug on the armwing with the logo of my shop East Wind Games on it.
Cheers.
