Little did I know when I left the office on Friday just how much of my work I was taking home with me. I had volunteered, because the boss was leaving town with his family, to finalize a bit of a project we had had pending. We had arranged for a batch of 512MB SanDisk SD cards to be sent to us. We were to load those cards and then distribute them to necessary personnel. Hah. I figured, what the heck, it’s just a matter of putting one into a card reader, copying the files, and then pulling it back out. How long could that take, right? I completely missed the mark on it. I spent the entire day loading 300 SD cards using two card readers. I shudder to think how long it might have taken with but one reader.

The next day, I did the last 100 cards and that part of the project can be marked off the Gantt chart.
Cheers.
