White Cat on Blue Pillow

28 March 2008

It seems sometimes, like all I ever photograph is cats and dogs and fabric.

As I worked today, to meet more deadlines (and succeeded in every case, I might add!) I didn’t take time to make the bed.  And, as always, when left to her own devices, Artemis seeks out this blue pillow that Kyle sleeps with, and makes it hers.  In fact, today, the wider view photo would show that she not only claimed the blue pillow, but she had somehow strategically positioned herself so that her body was touching no less than four of the pillows on the bed that Kyle sleeps with.

Hopefully, Kyle is tired enough to sleep through any potential allergy attack!  The day ended with a delightful dinner at Edelweiss with Terrill and Glenda and her folks and their son, Kyle the Younger, so we are both tired and pleased that morning doesn’t have to come too terribly early.

Only one week ’til opening day of Scarborough Renaissance Festival.  Sure wish I had a few more days . . .

Dan's Order

27 March 2008

Happy Birthday, Mama!

It’s amazing what a productive human being I can be when I only sleep every other night!  I pulled my third all-nighter of the season Wednesday/Thursday.  It seems that at about four o’clock in the morning, I get super sleepy–but then, that happens at four o’clock in the afternoon on a normal day! ;-)  Other than those little slumps, I did great—I didn’t actually feel like I had missed sleep.  It makes me wonder if perhaps I should do it more often just for fun!

I even remembered to call my mama last night and wish her a Happy Birthday!

It’s Friday now—it’s been a good week. Bert’s order has been delivered.  And last night, Tommy took his completed order home with him.  I am very proud of how it looks, and I can’t wait to get good photos of him wearing it.  Dan came for a final fitting, and after just a few finishing touches, his will be done today.  Also picking up today, will be Novie (a stomacher addition to his old doublet) and Shannon (various bodice, sleeve, and skirt repairs and alterations).  With any luck at all, I’ll be able to join my husband this evening for dinner out with friends.  But, that’s for Friday’s KRuMB.
