Ohh, the Salt Monday, Mar 17 2008

13 March 2008
Inventory day for East Wind Games. Inventory is all updated, but a few items had outdated, incorrect or missing photos. So, out came the lightbox and the cameras in an attempt to get useable product photos. I have a LOT to learn when using a lightbox. Marita Beth tells me that that type of photography is some of the hardest so I can’t be too hard on myself. But, dammit, I want to be good at it NOW! :-)
I won’t bore you with product photos, because I also took photos of my glass of tequila that were much better. Like this one:
Oh, the Salt!
Cheers.

Golden Bridge Monday, Mar 17 2008

12 March 2008
Went to Bronco’s after work to meet with Bryan (who recently added a little girl to his family) and Terrill. I hadn’t seen Bryan since they brought that little girl into the world, so it was good to sit and chat with him. Of course, I got regaled with the latest series in “baby girl photos.”
On the way home, it was just getting to dusk, and the overpasses glowed golden. I took photos and liked this one best of all.

St. Patty's Day Empties

17 March 2008

Saint Patrick’s Day

“emptysfearia”(n) pronounced:  “emp-tis-fi-ree-uh”  orig. St. Patrick’s Day 2008.  The irrational, yet controllable fear that the vessel from which one is drinking will become empty with no refill readily available.

As I write, millions of people are raising glasses of green beer or Guinness or whatever their chosen flavour of liquid cheer might be, and perhaps occasionally (but probably not) thinking about the man who once travelled to a wild land called Ireland, and introduced the natives to his flavour of Christianity.

Kyle and I had a quick dinner tonight at No Frills—on business!  He needed an unencrypted internet connection to do some specific work related to his day job, and I was hungry!  So, I played trivia (and won two games!) while he worked.  We were back home again before 8:30 p.m.  I snapped my photo just as we were leaving the pub, and the idea for our new vocabulary word was born as I began this post.  We laughed a lot in the process, and are definitely feeling a bit smug about it.
