Any time your employees can smile like this at the end of a hard, busy day—you’ve got to figure you’ve hired the right people!
This is Garry and Terri, my booth workers this season at TRF. Of course, thankfully, I still have Donny, too—he’s my veteran help these days, and I don’t know what I’d do without him this season! But, Garry and Terri are new to the team. Garry is a musician by trade—a very talented singer/songwriter. His lovely lady works for Kelly at Excalibur. Kelly, knowing I was desperate for sales help, referred him to me. Terri is the girlfriend of our dear friend Vince, and although we’ve known her for two or three years, now, this has been a great opportunity to get to know her even better. She’s an administrative assistant in her weekday world, and I could easily let her desire to “assist” really spoil me—she likes to run errands and do dishes and the like. Makes me wish I could afford a personal assistant!
Anyway, these two and Donny have worked their butts off for me these last few weekends. And, the last two Saturdays in particular have been wicked busy. I am very grateful for their energy, their ability to learn quickly, to anticipate our needs, and to think ahead. No job seems to great or too small for them, and I do hope they might decide that working for me is a thing they’ll wish to repeat!
