Ahhh, Spring. That beautiful time of birth & rebirth; that glorious time of growth & green; that horrible time of hacking & wheezing, sneezing & coughing, asthma attacks & red-rimmed eyes. Yes, Spring is here. This view is from my boss’s window looking out over the freshly bloomed Bradford Pears and the walkway that leads to the parking structure.
I treat Spring with an uncomfortable gleam because although it is remarkeably and unmistakeably beauteous, it’s a miserable 2-3 months for me here in North Texas. Personally, I prefer my beauty without the need to have a tissue constantly to hand or being so doped up on allergy medication I can barely function. And my allergies aren’t nearly as bad as some folks I know. So, to all of my fellow sufferers, look out…it’s coming and coming quick.
